The ? is a rare item in Darkwood, exclusive to the Banshee Nest Night Event. A non-hostile Banshee will sit still either inside or in close vicinity of the Hideout, surrounded by a red glow. When approached, it will open its wings without screaming and vanish in a cloud of crows, leaving behind this item in its nest: this barely pulsating thing is basically a stillbirth.

If "?" is eaten, it gives temporary health regeneration. When cooked, it grants 25 essence. The amount of extracted essence is multiplied by the Oven efficiency.

Trivia

• The icon and ground animation for this item suggest that it is a Banshee fetus. Game files confirm this by referring to it as "Piskle", which translates to "Chick".
