The Chain is a quest item used to gain entrance into the Village Well located in the Silent Forest Village.

Two chains can be found in the village, one on a burned corpse in the house behind the Chicken Lady's House, and a second one in the Village Cellar, which can only be accessed after killing the Sow in the Pig Shed. A chain can also be purchased from Wolfman or Piotrek for 150 Reputation.

It cannot be sold once acquired, as it is a quest item.

Trivia[]

Alpha 7 had a curious glitch which allowed chains to be consumed by the player. This has been fixed in Alpha 7.1.
