The Handgun frame is a resource in Darkwood. It is one of the rarer loot to scavenge in the wilderness and has limited usage.

Obtaining

Scavenging

A Handgun frame can be obtained from a Backpack located in a Camp in the Silent Forest. Other than that, Handgun frames are seemingly rare as random loot, so the player may not be able to rely on scavenging for these in the woods.

Buying

A Handgun frames is available for sale from the morning traders, the Trader or The Three, for 450 Reputation. Wolfman and Piotrek also sell these for the same price.

Usage

Crafting

One Handgun frame is necessary in the crafting recipe of a Pistol, acting as the most fundamental component of the weapon.

Selling

At a whopping 225 in Value, the Handgun frame is one of the most valuable items in the game. The component is even more valuable than the Pistol (only 200 in Value), so melee-oriented players may find selling it more beneficial than using it for crafting as the Pistol itself can also be obtained via few other alternatives.
