The Village Leader is a minor character in Darkwood.
He is the leader of the Silent Forest Village, and is the one who hands out meat to the villagers. His house is the northwesternmost house on the south side of the river. Outside of his house, a village woman can be seen demanding meat. If the player tries to open the metal doors to the Mayor's house, he will tell them to go away and claim that there is no meat left, because the Sow is starving and gives no pigs. Then, he will threaten the player with the release of Antek, the mayor's pet Red Chomper.
His role in the plot is minor: if the player has killed the Sow, an invitation to the Mayor's house will be extended to them. Upon entering the mayor's cellar, the player will be locked inside and Antek will be released.

- The Village Leader can be glimpsed through the holes in the wall to his bedroom: he is a sickly man that appears to be tossing and turning in his bed.
- It is possible to kill the Village Leader by shooting him through the holes in his wall. Upon death, he seems to disappear completely without leaving a corpse.
